Day 01 :  DELHI / RISHIKESH (6 hrs) : Drive to Rishikesh or optionally board train up to Haridwar & transfer to Hotel, situated 260 kms away at the foothills of The Garhwal Himalayas. It is here that the holy river Ganges enters the plains offer its journey down from the Himalayas. A renowned centre for Yogic discipline - Rishikesh is dotted with shrines. Drive 30 kms through sal forest to the luxurious riverside resort / Camps. Check into private cottages. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy jungle walks or sunbathe on the resort's private silver sands beach or the "jungle pool".   Overnight Camps.

Day 02 : CAMP : After a late breakfast drive down to Rishikesh, sightseeing tour of the temples, ashrams and the famous Trans Meditational Centre where the "Beatles" lived for a year. Option-ally you can drive onto Haridwar and witness the priests performing the evening 'Ganga Aarti'at  Hori-ki-Pouri,where Lord Vishnu is believed to have left his footprint. Bathing at this point is believed to cleanse all sins. Also visit the colourful and interesting bazaar Evening relax at the river beach with a bonfire and beach dinner

Day 03 :  CAMP: Morning enjoy a gentle rotting orfloating trip on the Ganges right up to  Rishikesh to see the way of life in the Himalayan foothills. Later drive upon astonishingly beautiful 40 km stretch to Deoproyag. Luxuriant forest rundown to the water's edge which in many places is fringed with silver sand beaches,in places The blue-green mystical river rushes over foaming rapids. Deoprayag is on important pilgrimage spot for here is the confluence of the rivers Bhogirothi & Alaknonda. Overnight Camp.

Day 04: CAMP / CORBETT: Drive to Corbett National Park(4 hrs). Check into the luxurious Tiger Tops Corbeft Lodge. Cornmence park satan on elephant back accompanied by naturalist. Evening bonfire and bar-be-cue with ha "Chota Peg". Overnight Corbett.

Day 05 : IN CORBETT: Morning and evening park visits to see a vanity of wildlife in jeeps & elephant back. Overnight Corbett 

Day 06 : CORBETT / DELHI : Early morning repeat safari . Later drive to Delhi

Destinations: Delhi - Nainital - Ranikhet - Corbett

Day 01 : DELHI / NAINITAL (7 hrs) : Drive to Nainital or train upto Ramnagar & transfer to      Nainital.Check into your mountain resort. The Nainital region is called the Switzerland of Asia because of the presence of so many lakes. Evening leisurely' walks around the lake past colonial type villas and the Church of St.John in the wilderness. Walk up to Naina peak for stunning views of the Himalayas including Nanda Devi or take a boat across the lake. Overnight Nainital.

Day 02 : NAINITAL / RAMGARH (2 hrs): Morning visit lakes at Bhimtal & Sat Tal. After lunch drive to Pamgarh hunting lodge Via EhowarI. Check into lodge. The Lodge is situated amongst orchards and forests. Later visit Mukteshwar, famous for its temples. Overnight Ramgarh.

Day 03: RAMGARH / BINSAR (3 to 4 hrs): Drive to Binsar via Almora, the cultural capital of Kumaon, established in 1560, founded by The Chand dynasty. Jageshwar famous for the l64 ornamented temples built by the Chand rajas. Proceed to Binsar, one of the most scenic spots in the area offering excellent Views of the snow clad peaks. Check into mountain resort. Overnight Binsar. 

Day 04 : BINSAR / KAUSANI (3 to 4 hrs) : Drive to Kausani. Check into hotel. Kausani offers a 300km wide view of the Nanda Devi group of mountains. It was here that Mahatma Gandhi wrote his commentary on the Gita. Later excursion to Baijnath, a small town with distinctively carved 12th and 13th century Katyuri temples on the banks of the river Gomti. Also visit Bageshwar' Kumaon's most important pilgrimage centre which has several temples and two sacred pools. Overnight Kausani. 

Day 05 :  KAUSANI / RANIKHET (3 to 4 hrs) After breakfast depart for Ranikhet, aquatint cantonment established in 1869.Check into hotel. Day at leisure to enjoy peaceful walks. The twin peaks of Nanda Devi can be clearly seen. Optionally enjoy a game of golf or visit the Fruit and Garden Research Sta1on. Overnight Ranikhet.

Day 06 : RANIKHET / CORBETT (3 hrs) Drive to Corbett National Park through scenic forest road. Check into your forest resort. Evening at leisure at the riverside.Overnight Corbett.

Day 07 : CORBETT: Early morning elephant safari accompanied by naturalist. Optional elephant /jeep safari in the evening. Evening bonfire and barbecue. Overnight Corbett.

Day 08 :  CORBETT / DELHI (7 hrs): Drive to Delhi.

Day 01 : DELHI / NALAGARH (6 hrs) : Drive to Nalagarh or board train to Chandigarh & transfer to Nalagarh . Check into the Nalagarh palace heritage resort. Evening at leisure to explore the fort or relax in the company of the Royal family, perhaps over a drink. Overnight Nalagarh palace.

Day 02 : NALAGARH / KANGRA (4 hrs) Morning, drive to Kangra. Check into the Judge's Court, a stately manor built in 1918 and situated in the quaint Village of Paragpur. The Kangra  valley rolls down the southern edge of the magnificent Dhauladar range. It's slopes are covered with forests, orchards, tea gardens and terraced fields. From Paragpur, the Beas river offers exciting opportunities for Mahaseer fishing, while Brand Billing (30 kms) offers adventure sports like hang gliding and para-sailing. Kangra is also known for its exquisite  miniature paintings. Nearby is the temple of Jwalamukhi, where a natural blue flame issues from the  rock sanctum. A constant swell of pilgrims provides a glimpse of the real India, steeped in rituals and traditionally vibrant and alive.
Overnight at Judge's Court.

Day 03 : KANGRA / DHARAMSALA (60 kms) : Morning, drive to Dharamsala situated at 6100ft. Check into mountain resort Mcleodganj. Visit to Tibetan children's village. At Mcleodganj,  visit Dalai Lama temple and Tibetan school of performing arts. ln the evening, get a taste of  Tibetan food at local restaurants. Overnight at Dharamsala.

Day 04 : DHARAMSALA / TARAGARH : Drive to Taragarh (2 hrs). Check into Taragarh Palace resort owned by the family of the Maharaja Kashmir. Evening, walk across the tea gardens or drive to the monastery. Overnight Taragarh. 

Day 05 : TARAGARH / KULLU (4 hrs) : Drive to Kullu. Arrive late afternoon and check into Beas   Banks - Wanderlust tented camp on the banks of the river Beas, 12 kms upstream Kullu. Evening, relax at camp with a bonfire and bar-be-cue and a glass of beer or chhota peg. Overnight Beas Banks. (Optional you could choose to stay at a hotel).

Day 06 : BEAS BANKS : Optionally, morning, enjoy an exciting two hours of rafting on the Beas.  Later, visit Naggar castle & the Roerich Art Gallery. Evening at leisure at this interesting riverside beach camp.

Day 07 : BEAS BANKS / MANALI : Morning, visit Manali town, visit Hadimba temple. Later, drive  up to Rohtang Pass, 52 kms at 13,500 ft. for a fabulous view of the Dauladhar, Zanskar and  the Lahaul- Spiti ranges. Overnight hotel at Manali.

Day 08 : MANALI / SHIMLA (6 hrs) Drive to Shimla, the erstwhile summer capital of the British  Raj. Check into your Palace hotel. Overnight Shimla.

Day 09 :  SHIMLA / CHAIL (2 hrs) Explore the infamous Mall and its surroundings. Late afternoon, drive to Chail via Kutri, through dense deodar and rhododendron forest. Check  into Chail Palace hotel, the former residence of the Maharaja of Patiala. Overnight Chail.

Day 10 : CHAIL / DELHI After breakfast, transfer to the railway station (Kandaghat) for a fascinating train journey to Kalka, on the toy train. Arrive Kalka and transfer to Shatabdi Express train, arriving Delhi late evening.
